About the Art…
Since I was young, I have been obsessed with cartoons, characters, fantasy movies, art, flowers, and the list goes on. These all ignite the imagination, inspire curiosity, and come to life within our minds. Far-fetched, wildly imaginary creatures, places, and ideas fuel my artistic practice. I had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study abroad in Rome, where I stood and breathed in rooms filled with grotesque paintings and countless imaginary worlds lived on the walls. Growing up in a house where humor connected us has made this a through-thread in my artwork. Wit connects people, strengthens relationships, highlights the positive, and makes life a little more fun. In my work, I bring those outlandish, fanciful, and curious ideas and creatures into the third dimension. I want to allow others to take a stroll through my creative mind's garden. Full of peculiar creatures in a world that only exists in words and clay while encouraging people to laugh and find the wonder through the unpredictability of life.
